Types of Titanium Grade 2 Elbows:
1. 90° & 45° Elbows– For changing flow direction in piping systems.
2. Short Radius (SR) & Long Radius (LR) Elbows– LR elbows provide smoother flow.
3. Butt Weld, Threaded, or Socket Weld Ends – Depending on connection requirements.
4. Seamless or Welded Construction – Seamless offers better pressure resistance.

Key Difference of titanium grade 12 elbow and titanium grade 2 elbow

Titanium Grade 12 contains Mo & Ni, enhancing corrosion resistance in reducing environments (e.g., acids, chlorides),

while Grade 2 is commercially pure (CP) Ti with no major alloying additions.

 

Titanium Grade 12 is ~40% stronger than Grade 2 due to Mo/Ni additions.

Grade 2 is more ductile (better for deep drawing, forming).

 

Titanium Gr12 outperforms Grade 2 in reducing acids (e.g., hydrochloric, sulfuric) and high-chloride environments.
Grade 2 is better for oxidizing conditions (e.g., nitric acid).

 

Ti Grade 2 is easier to form(better for deep-drawn parts).
Both weld well, but Ti Grade 12's alloying elements may require slight parameter adjustments.

 

Ti Grade 12 is used where higher strength + corrosion resistance is needed (e.g., sour gas, acidic fluids).
Ti Grade 2 is preferred for cost-sensitive, highly formable, or oxidizing applications.
 

 

Ti Gr 2 is the most economical and widely available titanium grade.
Ti Gr 12 is ~20–30% more expensive due to alloying elements (Mo/Ni).
