Production Process of Titanium Flange
Material preparation: Choose the appropriate titanium alloy material, the commonly used is ti-6al-4v. According to the design requirements of the flange, prepare titanium plates or ingots of appropriate thickness and specifications.
Cutting and forming: Cutting titanium materials into the desired shape by laser cutting, waterjet cutting or flame cutting. After cutting, preliminary machining is performed to remove surface burrs and irregular edges.
Heat treatment: For some types of titanium flanges, heat treatment May be required to improve the mechanical properties and toughness of the material. Heat treatment is usually carried out in a controlled atmosphere to prevent oxidation.
Machining and forming: Cnc machine tools are used to perform precision machining on the cut titanium parts, including turning, milling and drilling, etc., to ensure that the size and tolerance of the flange meet the design requirements. For the sealing surface of the flange, specific machining, such as milling or polishing, is also required.
Surface treatment: In order to improve corrosion resistance and aesthetics, titanium flanges usually go through surface treatment processes such as cleaning, pickling or anodizing.
Quality inspection and testing: The final product needs to go through strict quality inspection, including dimensional measurement, mechanical property testing and non-destructive testing to ensure that it meets the standard requirements.
The Differences Between Titanium Welding Flange and Titanium Threaded Flange
Connection method
Welded flange is welded to weld the valve and the pipe directly together, and the connection is firm. Threaded flange is connected by threads to connect the flange thread and the pipe thread.
Scope of application
